Certified by Melisa Pearce The Equine Gestalt Coaching Method™

Every event, workshop, and retreat is grounded in the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method®, a body-based coaching approach that recognizes lasting healing involves more than talking alone. As a certified Equine Gestalt Coach, Susan creates supportive experiences where participants can safely explore emotions, gain new perspectives, and build resilience alongside horses. Each gathering is thoughtfully facilitated to encourage meaningful breakthroughs while honoring every participant's unique journey.

Monthly Experiences

Join an Experiential Workshop

Our experiential workshops provide a welcoming introduction to body-based healing through Equine Gestalt Coaching. These guided group experiences combine reflective activities, coaching exercises, and meaningful interactions with the horses in a safe, supportive environment. No prior horse experience is needed, and all activities take place on the ground. Whether you're navigating stress, grief, anxiety, life transitions, or simply seeking personal growth, our workshops offer space to slow down, reconnect, and discover new possibilities at your own pace.

Immersive Learning

Half-Day and Full-Day Healing Experiences

For those seeking a deeper level of personal exploration, our half-day and full-day experiences provide extended time for reflection, coaching, and connection with the horses. These immersive sessions allow participants to move beyond surface-level conversations and gently uncover patterns, emotions, and beliefs that may be holding them back. Each experience is personalized, allowing healing to unfold naturally while providing practical insights you can carry into everyday life.

Healing Together

Experience the Power of Community

Healing often becomes even more meaningful when shared with others walking their own path. Our community events create opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals in an encouraging, judgment-free environment while participating in guided Equine Gestalt experiences. Although every participant's journey is personal, the shared experience often brings additional insight, support, and lasting connections that continue long after the event ends.

Why Somatic Equine Coaching Works

The Case for Body-Based Healing

Many of life's challenges are carried not only in our thoughts but also within our bodies. The Equine Gestalt Coaching Method® combines traditional coaching with body-based awareness to help participants gently process emotions, release limiting patterns, and develop healthier ways of moving forward. Rather than focusing solely on discussion, these experiences invite meaningful change through awareness, presence, and connection with the horses.

Workshop Information

Events & Workshops FAQs

  • Do I need any experience with horses to attend one of your workshops?

No prior experience with horses is needed. The workshops are designed to be accessible to people who have never spent time around horses before. The equine partners at Stable Support Coaching are not something you need to manage or ride. They participate in the session alongside you, and Sarabeth guides the entire process. Many participants arrive feeling nervous and find that the horses' calm, non-judgmental presence helps ease that anxiety fairly quickly.
  • How long do the workshops run, and what format do they follow?

Workshops are offered in both half-day and full-day formats, giving participants the time needed for genuine immersive work. These are experiential, body-based sessions, not presentations or lectures. You will be actively engaged with the equine partners in an outdoor setting under a covered barn. Specific schedule details and upcoming dates can be found through the booking or inquiry process.
  • What should I wear and bring to an equine gestalt workshop?

Closed-toed shoes are a strict requirement for all participants. Sandals and open-toed footwear are not permitted for safety reasons. Because sessions take place outdoors under a covered barn, you should dress in weather-appropriate layers. Fans and heaters are available at the barn, but coming prepared for the outdoor conditions will help you stay comfortable and focused throughout the session.
  • What is the arrival process for workshops at the Hillsborough barn?

Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your workshop begins. When you get to our location in Hillsborough, NC, park in the designated area. A staff member will meet you there and escort you down to the barn. This process is in place so that every participant feels oriented and settled before the session begins, rather than rushed or uncertain about where to go.
  • How is an equine coaching workshop different from a standard personal development seminar?

A standard seminar typically involves listening, note-taking, and intellectual processing. Our equine gestalt workshops are somatic, meaning the learning happens in the body, not just in the mind. Working alongside a 1,200-pound animal creates an immediate, felt experience that bypasses the cognitive defenses that often keep people stuck. As Melissa Pierce puts it, you never forget the lessons learned alongside a 1,200-pound animal. That kind of body-level memory is what sets this format apart from office or classroom-based personal development.
  • Who leads the workshops, and what are their qualifications?

All workshops are led by Sarabeth Weber, owner of Stable Support Coaching LLC. Sarabeth holds a Certified Equine Gestalt Coach designation earned through the Touched by a Horse® program, a rigorous two-year training framework developed by Melissa Pierce. Sarabeth also brings a background in education and 13 years as a stay-at-home mom, which informs the grounded, empathetic approach she brings to every session. Stable Support Coaching is a member of the Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce and has been recognized in the Orange County newspaper.
  • Are workshops a good fit for people who have already tried traditional talk therapy?

Yes, and many workshop participants come specifically because talk therapy has taken them as far as it can. If you understand your patterns intellectually but keep repeating the same cycles, the somatic focus of these experiential horse workshops offers a different kind of engagement. Rather than discussing what happened, you process through the body in real time, with the horse serving as an honest, non-judgmental partner in that work.
